Summary: 

This position is reserved for high-potential candidates. While performing as the Store Manager for a large facility, this person will also take on other projects, assignments, and roles. These experiences will assist in accelerating the personal and professional readiness of this individual to assume a District Manager (or other) role in the organization. This is a rigorous and accelerated development program for highly qualified external candidates who have demonstrated such talent in a current or past role. It will build the skills, knowledge, and competencies of a store manager who may be considered for promotion to District Manager or other related positions within the organization.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manages day-to-day operations of assigned facility as Store Manager
  • Supervises team of employees
  • Acts as Senior Store Manager (Mentor)
  • Acts as District Learning Specialist (Trainer)
  • Provides additional leadership to assigned district as required by District Manager
  • Completes all courses, assignments and projects as defined in learning plan 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises a team of Storage Consultants and Maintenance Workers at the site in following approved policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

Incumbent must be able to fully relocate upon completion of this program. ESMI seeks employees that have entrepreneurial, pro-active, “can-do” mentalities, positive attitudes, can handle change and operate with integrity. The incumbent must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools.  Employment with ESMI is contingent on successful completion of a background and drug screening.

 

Education and/or Experience:

A two or four year college degree from an accredited university or college, one to three years of managerial experience and one to three years of sales and/or retail experience are required.

 

Language Skills:

Incumbent must have ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Must have strong verbal and written skills. Must demonstrate an ability to build strong relationships with individuals and have strong multi-tasking skills. Strong oral communication skills and ability to effectively write and communicate in English required. Ability to read and interpret reports, legal documents, and procedural manuals in English is required.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals is expected.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram format and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to identify problems and create solutions to rectify the situation.

 

Physical Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
