Tell us about your journey at Extra Space Storage.

I joined Extra Space in 2005, when we acquired Storage USA and grew by 600+ sites with that acquisition. I have received 2 quarterly Extraordinary Awards in my career here at ESS.

How would you describe the work environment?

The work environment here is awesome. Great work life balance, wonderful co-workers, excellent teamwork, challenging growth and opportunity. Nice shiny office. Outstanding leadership

What excites you the most about the future at Extra Space Storage?

We continue to grow, not only in size but in efficiencies and processes.

I love the many challenges, changes, people, giving back. Extra Space is a fabulous place to work!

Tell us about your journey at Extra Space Storage.

I was hired as an Assistant Store Manager and later promoted to Store Manager. During this time, I have been acknowledged by 4 district managers for my work. It feels so good that our leadership takes time to recognize my efforts to try to exceed everything I do!

How would you describe the work environment?

The relationships that I have seen and been a part of have surpassed anything I have ever experienced with over 25 years in Retail Management! On several occasions, the Divisional VP has contacted me to check on me and see if there was anything I needed, to help at my store or to help with my training!! Wow! The phone calls, meetings and conversations with various levels of leadership have been consistently helpful and appreciated!

What excites you the most about the future at Extra Space Storage?

The continued growth and be open to change when confronted with the unknowns. The partnership with every level position in the company from CEO to entry level positions.

Anything else you'd like to share about working at Extra Space?

I appreciate all of the small things that Extra Space does for us. It was a lovely surprise to receive an Extra Space backpack filled with goodies! It makes me feel appreciated and acknowledged for all the little things that I do on a daily basis. Thanks for all of that!

Tell us about your journey at Extra Space Storage.

I have been in the call center industry for almost a decade and when my previous company closed in SLC, I knew what I was looking for in my next company. A name that came up consistently was Extra Space Storage. I researched the company myself and found very similar values. I applied and was hired as a Sales Team Leader. My decision was one of the best I have made in my career. The values are lived daily and the mindset of each employee is future focused on better customer advocates everyday. I have been given the honor of being recognized as a quarterly EXTRAordinary Award Winner and recently been given the opportunity to guide the Service Department to higher levels for the customer and employees.

How would you describe the work environment?

The core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, Innovation and Passion are evident everyday. This is seen from the top to the bottom. Following the core values allows more positivity to come through in every interaction, which makes your work environment one you want to come into everyday.

What excites you the most about the future at Extra Space Storage?

Knowing our priorities are in the right place. We as a company are giving the opportunity to store our customer's belongings and we need to uphold to our commitment by making our customer experience better in every interaction

Tell us about your journey at Extra Space Storage.

My previous career was mentally taxing and I wanted an immediate change. I was curious about Extra Space, so decided to apply. Upon first interaction, I knew that I wanted to work here. From my first interview, the team had consistent feedback and positive approach, and over the last 6 years of my career I have excelled exponentially due to strong leadership. Consistent mentorship inside our division and throughout our entire organization has been an unbelievable experience. Now that I've shifted into a new Division with our growth, I'm getting the same support. It's a constant reality of support here within our organization. Proud to be a part of something bigger here with Extra Space.

Fun and a teamwork thriving environment. We all support one another and make the work a fun time along the way.

Technology and efficiency. We're constantly evolving to make our product easier for our customers and better for our team. Love seeing the innovation as of late!
