Extra Space is currently hiring for an Android Developer at our corporate office located in Salt Lake City, UT. In this role, you will deliver customer facing mobile applications that will differentiate our customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the entire application lifecycle

  • Contribute in the designing, testing, releasing and application support

  • Write clean and sustainable code that can be used in the future

  • Write automated tests to ensure high quality

  • Troubleshoot and debut to optimize performance

  • Work with Product Development team to plan, implement, and mange new features

  • Handle the Google Play Store site

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Experience developing and supporting native Android mobile applications in Kotlin, while understanding Android’s mobile design principles and interface guidelines.

  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, and reliability) of new and current systems

  • Solid development practices including unit test development, design, documentation, TDD, and knowledge of GIT.

  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design

  • Experience working with an consuming JSON and REST data contracts

  • Experience with advanced UI, animations and transitions.

  • Deep understanding of API design

  • Deep understanding memory management

  • Deep understanding of coroutines and threading

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred but not mandatory

Extras:

  • Experience interacting with BlueTooth/iBeacon technologies

  • Experience developing native iOS mobile applications using Swift
