Commercial Lease Administrator
 

Extra Space Storage is hiring for our commercial leasing team at our Salt Lake City, UT corporate office.  Extra Space Storage has a robust portfolio of retail, office, warehouse, cell tower and billboard leases that supplement traditional rental income.  Combined, this revenue stream equates to over $52M in annual revenue. The Commercial Leasing Administrator plays an integral role in managing and growing this important revenue stream.  This position will work with the Director of Commercial Leasing to oversee this function.

Our commercial leasing department consists of an entire team that started their ESS journey at our stores. Some travel is required. This is NOT a remote position; therefore, we request applicants that can move to Salt Lake City, UT only.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a division of retail, office, and warehouse commercial spaces for ESS.

  • Manage leases including rent increases, renewals, and tenant delinquencies.

  • Perform market research and establish market rates on commercial spaces.

  • Increase ESS leasing performance and drive revenue growth.

  • Collaborate with operations, facilities, partner services and accounting teams.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong customer service skills and awareness.

  • Leadership experience: ESS (DTL/DLM/DM). Or combining a degree with SM experience can substitute.

  • Possess strong knowledge of Breeze software, some knowledge of Microsoft suite

  • Previous experience as an apartment leasing agent or escrow/loan agent helpful.

  • Two-year associate degree (or experience can be substituted in lieu of degree).

  • Requires relocation to Salt Lake City, Utah (relocation assistance available).

Additional Benefits:

This is a salaried position working Monday through Friday, with SSC benefits, including a total of 12 paid holidays/personal days annually in addition to PTO.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Performs sedentary work in an office environment with limited lifting (less than 10 pounds) or walking required. Close visual acuity required to perform work at computer terminal. No exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Requires repetitive typing motion, talking, hearing, grasping and feeling.
