Job SummaryThe NSC Learning Specialist facilitates the training function at our National Sales Center (NSC). This critical role ensures that employees at Extra Space Storage’s contact center are prepared for the Sales and Service duties that support our self-storage business through both virtual and on-site training programs with new employees. This onsite position is based at our Midvale, UT call center and reports to the NSC Learning Manager.

This position may be "Remote" 5 days At-Home if you have been employed with the NSC for a minimum of 12+ months. 

Internal Field applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a DTL. 

External Applicants must live in the SLC, Utah area and may transition to remote work after a successful completion of the probationary period.

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or greater preferred. 

  • 2+ years experience in sales or customer service roles, prior mentorship experience strongly preferred 

  • Experience (must meet at least one): 

  • 1+ year of experience in a training or facilitation role 

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 

  • Minimum 3 months’ experience delivering NSC Sales Training in a classroom environment 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

 

  • Personally facilitates training and coaching experiences (both onsite and remote) for new-hire classes and ongoing training for existing agents 

  • Monitors the effectiveness of training of employees using individual or group performance results 

  • Collects feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation 

  • Contributes to new training program design and existing program enhancements 

  • Develops and creates lesson plans and training aids

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required. Associates Degree or greater preferred.

· Previous training/facilitation experience strongly preferred
