Job Description

The Jr. Operations Engineer supports systems and applications developed for any product or operations function. This position works closely with product managers, process owners, business and product analysts, and developers to support and troubleshoot applications in production use. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Identifies operational problems by observing and studying system functioning and performance results; investigating complaints and suggestions; completing troubleshooting procedures. 

  • Initiates continuous process improvements to improve product effectiveness.  

  • Provides technical support and guidance on product operations validation, development and implementation.  

  • Provides support to product and engineering team in achieving business goals.  

  • Provides third tier support to helpdesk on identifying and fixing issues. 

  • Supports the start-up and integration of new product operations projects. 

  • Improves product quality results by studying, evaluating, and recommending process re-design; implementing changes; contributing information and opinion to development teams. 

  • Serves as a subject matter expert to help educate NSC service agents and IT Helpdesk agents. 

  • Collaborates and coordinates with Operations support, facilities, and CX teams on escalated problems and concerns from products in production 

  • Serves as a support liaison and SME for 3rd party company and partner integrations 

 

Job Specifications  

  • Should be technically savvy, self-motivated and flexible. 

  • Excellent communication skills required. 

  • Basic understanding of Object Oriented Programming Languages. 

  • Other experiences a plus: MS SQL Server, SQL, HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, DOM, ActiveX, OLAP, Hana, Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce 

 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; 

  • Or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
