Leaves of Absence & Benefits Coordinator
The Leaves of Absence and Benefits Coordinator will administer and maintain the Extra Space employee Leaves of Absence (FMLA) program, as well as assist in the benefits administration. This position functions as a liaison between vendors, employees, and managers, and will advise employees on eligibility, coverage, and other leave of absence matters.
Administer leaves of absence for employees including compilation and dissemination of pertinent records
Coordinate leaves of absence information with State Disability and Worker’s Compensation Administration
Communicate salary continuance and disability pay coordination to the Payroll team
Perform leave of absence audits
Reconciliation of benefits payments
Serve as a back-up for benefits administration
Excellent verbal and written expression
Working knowledge of Federal and State leave of absence laws and regulations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to prioritize workload to properly manage a high-volume workload
Ability to maintain employee confidentiality and sensitive to employee leave and wellness issues
Familiarity with HCM systems
Education and Experience
High School diploma
One or more years' experience in Benefits Administration and Leaves of Absence
