Specialist, Liability Claims

Job Summary

Extra Space Storage is hiring a Claims Specialist – Liability as part of a new role created to support the continued growth of our claims organization.

Our liability claims are primarily handled by a third-party administrator (TPA). In this role, you’ll focus on coordinating, monitoring, and improving claim activity, while directly managing a small group of lower-severity claims.

You’ll gain hands-on experience working across the full claim lifecycle, partnering with adjusters, attorneys, and internal teams to keep claims moving and handled well. This is a strong entry point into commercial claims with clear exposure to how the business operates at scale.

This is also a team that values input. You’ll be expected to identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen how we use data.
