Manager/Director of Risk Management
Reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements.
Use data and analytics to identify trends in losses and make recommendations based on your findings.
Utilize knowledge of risk management best practices to drive improvements in technology and processes.
Help review relationships with outside vendors and third-party administrators.
Work with broker partners and carrier partners for suitable levels of insurance and retentions
Work with legal team to improve contract language for appropriate contractual risk transfer.
Some involvement with day-to-day processing of claims.
Help coordinate emergency response strategy and business continuity planning.
Use Risk Management Information System (RMIS) to identify, analyze, and report risk related data throughout the company.
Work with others on loss control and compliance activities.
Work with all levels of the organization to protect the assets of the company, reducing risks and losses.
Present information and training material to all levels of the organization
Familiar with best practices is risk management and risk management technology.
Ability to drive process improvement across the risk organization.
Utilize analytical skills to make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with actual experience in some of the duties listed above. Additional credentials such as an MBA degree, or other Risk Management credentials are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of related risk management experience
