Job Summary
Extra Space Storage is seeking a dynamic and motivated Part-Time Recruiting Intern to join our Customer Contact Center. This position will provide vital support to both the Recruiting and Workforce departments, ensuring smooth operations, effective communication, and efficient project and process management. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This paid internship will run for 6-8 weeks and may be extended depending on business need.
Position to start ASAP.
Internal applicants must have a minimum of 6 months experience with the NSC in a Sales role and must have a thorough understanding of NSC operational procedures.
For Internal NSC Agents - This position may be "Remote" if you have been employed with Extra Space for 6 months and do not reside within the SLC, Utah area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Requisition Management: Review resumes, clean up job requisitions, and disposition candidates appropriately.
Communication: Maintain constant communication with candidates via phone, email, and text, ensuring a seamless experience.
Data Reporting: Review candidate video responses, assessment results and maintain accurate records with candidate information.
Interview Coordination: Schedule interviews with calendar invites, including meeting links and reminders to ensure timely and organized interview processes.
Shipment Management: Manage shipments for all new hires, both outbound and inbound, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of equipment and materials.
Additional duties as assigned to support the Contact Center
Qualifications
6 months in an NSC Sales role
History of good performance and must not have any disciplinary actions higher than a written warning
Project management skills or experience is a plus.
Competencies
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Performs sedentary work in an office environment with limited lifting (less than 10 pounds) or walking required. Close visual acuity required to perform work at computer terminal. No exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Requires repetitive typing motion, talking, hearing, grasping and feeling.
