Software Development Manager
Responsible for the success of direct reports across multiple technical skill sets
Collaborates with other managers and team leads to ensure successful delivery of multi-team projects
Up to 60% of time will be in code. Experience with ReactJS, .Net Core, and/or SQL is strongly preferred
Leads and models the daily application of agile software engineering processes
Fosters long-term professional and career growth of direct reports and other team members
Contributes in staffing decisions
Communicates task and project status to stakeholders
May complete individual software engineering tasks and/or proof of concept work
The engineers reporting to this manager use the following tools: C#, SQL Server, ASP.NET Web API, ReactJS, Git, and the Azure platform. Project management and tracking tools include Jira and Confluence. Managers need general knowledge of these tools, but their technical expertise may be in other areas.
Education and Experience
5+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Automated software testing and deployment
Enterprise-level software engineering or leadership experience
Effective communicator, positive attitude, dedicated, team player
