Software Engineering Manager
We’re looking for a software engineering manager for a new team building a web app for kiosks that will allow customers to self-service at our store locations across the country. This exciting new in-house product is strategic for our business and important for our customer experience. We strive for elite software delivery practices, test automation, innovation, team autonomy, and career growth for our employees.
Fosters long-term professional and career growth of direct reports, including software engineers and quality engineers
Collaborates with other engineering and product managers to ensure successful delivery
Contributes to the code up to 50% of the time
Leads the team in continuous improvement through inspection and adaptation
Communicates effectively and manages expectations with stakeholders
Contributes to staffing decisions
Technical Tools (experience with some of these is desired)
C# and .NET Core
SQL Server, Postgres and/or NoSQL databases
AWS or Azure
Kafka or other event or streaming platforms is a plus
Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence or similar tools
TeamCity and Octopus or similar tools
Education and Experience
5+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Automated software testing and deployment
Enterprise-level software engineering or leadership experience
Effective communicator, positive attitude, dedicated, team player
