Tell us about your journey at Extra Space Storage.
I previously worked for Extra Space Storage from 2010-2015. I started as an Assistant Manager and eventually got promoted to Store Manager. During my time in that district I received the Extra Mile award. I had to relocate to another state for personal reasons so had to leave the company. When I found out there were new locations near me, I immediately applied for the available Assistant Manager position and was lucky enough to be hired on again with Extra Space.
How would you describe the work environment?
The work environment with Extra Space is fast paced and we never have two days that are the same! It keeps our day fun and exciting - you never have a boring day as there is always something to do. I like the variety of work. Sometimes I work on my own, sometimes with a small team and there are days where I get to travel and work at another location.
What excites you the most about the future at Extra Space Storage?
I am most excited about seeing our company continue to grow in new areas and to see myself and fellow coworkers grow in our roles and become part of our company's future.

Tell us about your journey at Extra Space Storage.
I first heard of Extra Space through my mother in law who was a customer. I checked it out, was hired and the rest is history! Within my first year at Extra Space, I received a "Rookie of the Year" award from a district wide meeting. In my three years with the company I've been promoted from an Assistant Manager to a Store Manager. Just recently I was promoted to a District Team Lead.
How would you describe the work environment?
The work environment is special here. I love being able to be so hands-on at my property and having a team to help coach and rely on when I need help.
What excites you the most about the future at Extra Space Storage?
It's exciting to know there is no real limit here at Extra Space Storage. There's no "glass ceiling" and there's always room for advancement should an employee choose to continue to climb the ladder.
Anything else you'd like to share about working at Extra Space?
Extra Space is a thriving environment. It is unlike any other job I've had and I've honestly enjoyed every second. Extra Space has such a confident and integrity based moral compass as a company and they are truly customer-centric.

I heard about Extra Space Storage through another Extra Space employee. This person shared that it was an amazing company to work at. I initially thought it was just a job, but I soon came to realize that is not just a job; it's a great career. If you want to grow with a company, this is the company that can make that happen.

I would describe the work environment as awesome with great teamwork.
