The Treasury team is responsible for raising debt capital and managing the company’s cash. The Treasury Manager supports the team in obtaining and maintaining secured real estate debt with banks and other lenders. The position will also involve working on process efficiency and technology projects relating to Treasury management.
Supervise completion of secured debt compliance calculations.
Provide lenders with property-related information for new loans.
Direct property visits for appraisers and inspectors.
Provide insurance information and financial reports to lenders.
Maintain data on unencumbered properties.
Obtain lender consents for property improvement projects.
Ensure loan payments are made on an accurate and timely basis.
Maintain interest rate hedging records.
Direct loan payoffs.
Assist in several initiatives to enhance debt compliance and cash management activities.
Evaluate/implement treasury workstation modules for possible process efficiencies.
Assist in identifying ACH payment opportunities.
Explore the use of high order prefix bank services.
Support cash receipt and bank deposit activities at sites implementing new customer-facing technology.
Assist in integrating lender lockbox requirements for property management customers.
Experience in either managing debt (for a lender or borrower) or in treasury and cash management. With your experience in at least one of these areas we can train you in the others.
Willing to take initiative, be curious, learn, self-direct, and follow through on multiple priorities.
Computer skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Treasury workstation experience a plus.
Ability to read and analyze financial reports and prepare financial modeling.
Recognize critical deadlines and pathways.
Prompt, accurate customer service for internal customers and bank relationship partners.
Education and Experience
B.S. in finance, accounting, or another business field, or any college degree with actual experience in some of the duties listed above. Additional credentials such as an MBA degree, Certified Treasury Professional or CPA a plus.
Minimum of five years of full-time work experience in a real estate, finance, accounting, banking, or a related field. Supervisory experience preferred.
