Procurement Specialist
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Coordinates the onboarding and closure of supplier services
- Updates and maintains records associated with assigned vendors
- Works with vendors and accounts payables to reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Monitors and documents the status of supplier accounts on an on-going basis
- Handles internal procurement customer service and external vendor relations
- Troubleshoots and solves account problems as they arise; adapts quickly to change
- Ability to take direction and complete a task with minimal supervision

Education and/or Experience: Related Associates degree from an accredited College or University; and minimum two years administrative experience. Real estate, construction, purchasing background is helpful.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Computer Skills: Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
