Real Estate Director
Develops underwriting and modeling for potential market strategic opportunities
Coordinates closings with the Operations Department to ensure a smooth transition of newly acquired properties
Performs post-closing reconciliations
Travels to trade shows and property audits as market opportunities develop
Prepares and assemble proration information for closings and verifies accuracy of closing statements
Researches commercial industry data and translates the findings into sales revenue generating information
Reviews financial statements and prepare preliminary valuation of real estate assets
Reviews financial and operational due diligence materials for acquisitions
Evaluate investment returns based on cap rates, discounted cash flows, use of leverage and Illustrates trends and possible risks of opportunities.
Maintains a valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel throughout the company-related geographical areas
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Demonstrates quality leadership skills and the characteristics of being self-motivated, analytical; customer service oriented, and work cross-divisionally with the legal, treasury, and operations departments
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a financial related field required; Master’s degree preferred
Five to seven years of business, selling and negotiating experience, preferably in the Self-Storage industry
Working knowledge of the complexities associated with supporting mid-size to large commercial customers with multiple locations
