Workers Compensation Claims Specialist
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities-
- Ensure timely processing of workers’ compensation, general liability, and auto claims disputes and closures.
- Collaborate with third-party administrators, insurance brokers, adjusters, and attorneys to set up, manage, and close claims effectively.
- Use RMIS (Risk Management Information System) and other tools to manage claims programs and workflows.
- Report safety concerns, loss control issues, and other risk related issues
- Ensure incident reports are accurate and complete before submission.
- Assist with other risk management and claims-related tasks as needed.
Job Specifications-
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple claims efficiently.
Education and Experience-
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related risk management or insurance claims handling role.
